October 22, 2015 - I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane...

We're off to preach the Gospel, the wonderful Gospel of God! Because because because because BECAAAUUUSSSEEE, because of the wonderful things He does! Do do do do do do do! (Tune of Wizard of Oz). That's right! On Monday, I'm heading to the wonderful country of Nicaragua! I leave at 3:30 am on Monday morning. Crazy! The time has flown by here!

I'm trying to think of all the wonderful things that have happened this week! I'll go ahead and start with the scripture I'm ponderizing: 2 Nephi 22:2-6 ---->

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation.3 Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.4 And in that day shall ye say: Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things; this is known in all the earth.6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
I just love these verses! I've learned how important it is to completely trust God, with faith unwavering! I just love how God has blessed my life and I want to spend every day rejoicing and proclaiming what I know and love! I am so grateful to be serving a mission!
So, as of this week, I am trying to think of what all happened. A lot of things I'm sure. It's just been a lot of spiritual learning and growth. There hasn't been too much that's different than every other week so this letter will be somewhat short. We stopped teaching most of our investigators and have become investigators. We take turns teaching each other. It's been really enlightening. First, to teach one another, but to also be someone who doesn't have the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to understand what others feel like so we can be like that too.
It's been an emotional week too. Not like crying emotional, but more like hearts breaking. We saw another group of elders leave this week, so it was sad to say bye to them, and then to know that we will all be leaving! I just love my district, my teachers, and my companions soo much! I will miss them all but at the same time, I am so ready to get out to Nicaragua and help others learn of Jesus Christ. So, that's how I will end this letter. Thanks for all the encouragement! Les quiero! God Speed!
